TALA, an online sportswear brand raised £4.2m in funding to bring more sustainable clothing to the market.

Instagram post from @wearetala and @gracebeverleyCEO, Grace Beverley said the funds co-led by Active Partners and Venrex will go into hiring, international expansion, and inventory.
The fitness entrepreneur founded TALA in 2019 when she struggled to find a sustainable brand without “breaking the bank “. From then, her goal was to focus on using recycled and natural products during every step of production.
One of her aims is to help consumers step away from fast fashion and focus on ethically produced clothing.
Beverley said during an interview with Drapers, “There are so many people doing amazing things in the sustainable activewear market, but no-one is combining that with our price point. And with the activewear market really blowing up and caring about sustainability like we do, it made sense to get a group of people together with the resources we need to take this to the next level."

While the brand has been in the market for nearly 4 years, Beverley shared category expansion is still somewhat far away. Tala's next projects will be to keep bringing their loyal international clientele their best-selling products and continue keeping the quality and ethos the brand stands for.
